Yo, it’s St. Patty’s day so I felt that BP needed to get in the spirit and post something green. So, for all you suckas who haven’t heard…check it. Comedian and self-styled idiot Tom Green, best known for getting busy with a dead moose on MTV, has put out a rap album. When I first heard of this project I figured that it would suck balls (or just one ball, cause Tom had the other cancerous nut taken out). And to be honest, for the most part, the album does suck. But, surprisingly, there are a few gems. Tom is no prolific rapper but it’s fun to hear him rhyme about all the stupid shit he’s done and continues to do over some pretty well produced beats supplied by Mike Simpson of the Dust Brothers (giving the tracks some actual legitimacy). The best track, by far, is “Write Rhymes and Act Like an Asshole.” Sounds like a Muggs produced beat, and while not really innovative in any way, it reminds me of the good old days of the early to mid nineties when hip hop was sicker than AIDS. Anyways, enough of my ramblings. Go to the website and peep it for yourselves. Then go and steal the tracks off of the internet.
